The 2018/19 FSA administration in schools will take place between October 1 and November 9, 2018. Schools should receive their 2018/19 FSA supplies parcel by the end of September.
The YFSA Assessment Description and Specifications, describes how reading, writing and numeracy will be assessed, and is available on the Ministry of Education Website to help educators prepare for administration this fall. The sample YFSA provides teachers and students with a preview of the sample online questions, sample student booklet and sample collaboration activity.

Due to the timing of the YFSA, both DART and SWW for grades 4 and 7 are now optional for schools in both the fall and the spring.
Grades 3 – 8 educators interested in an opportunity to gather with colleagues from across the territory in a standards-based collaborative marking session of the YFSAs on November 19 – 20, 2018 are encouraged to sign up at YFSA Collaborative Marking Session.
